Today I met a woman, the same age as me, with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) who after an ectopic pregnancy resulting in the removal of an ovary was told it was highly unlikely she would ever have a child...
...Today I told that woman that she was pregnant.
Genuinely the best thing I've ever done. And this exam period, when I'm tired of revising and wondering why I'm even bothering, I'm going to look back on that moment and remember why I've spent the last 6 years of my life at university, and why I'm going to finish medical school and be the best damned doctor I can be :)
